Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Joe Burrow had the game of his life in LSU's domination of Oklahoma in the College Football Playoff semifinal, but that quickly turned sour during his post-game interview on the SEC Network.

Burrow was caught off guard when he learned during the interview that Carley McCord, a reporter and daughter-in-law of LSU offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger, was one of five passengers killed in a small plane crash hours before the game.

After several game-related questions, Dari Nowkhah brought up the crash.

"I wanted to get into this," Nowkhah said. "Your offensive coordinator, obviously, Steve Ensminger, lost his daughter-in-law in a plane crash shortly before this game."

Burrow says, "Oh my gosh," before Nowkhah asks if Burrow did not know. Burrow confirms he did not know before saying he needed to go check in with his coach and being consoled by Tim Tebow.
