Vice President Kamala Harris will journey to Memphis, Tenn., for the funeral of Tyre Nichols on Wednesday, the White Home introduced Tuesday.
The vp was personally requested to attend by Nichols’ household after she spoke to the 29-year-old’s mom, RowVaughn Wells, and stepfather, Rodney Wells, by telephone earlier Tuesday, the Grio reported.
Ben Crump, the lawyer representing the Nichols household, instructed the publication that Harris consoled the mom.
