There are more places to watch the NFL than ever during the 2022 season, with a handful of games now exclusive to streaming services like Amazon Prime Video and ESPN+.
Unfortunately, that also means that basic broadcast TV won't suffice if you want to watch every game during the week. For example, to watch Monday Night Football you'll need ESPN, which is only available via cable or a live TV streaming service. Adding another complication is the fact that Thursday Night Football is now exclusive to Prime Video, which requires its own subscription.
Though the league does have its new NFL+ streaming service ($5/month) to help simplify options, that platform is limited to mobile devices like phones and tablets. You do get access to most weekly games in your market, but it's not a viable service for fans who want to stream games on their TV.
This ultimately leaves cord cutters with a lot of confusing options to choose from, with many services that need to be mixed and matched to get the best value. With that in mind, we crunched the numbers and factored in some ongoing deals to determine the best streaming package you can put together to watch the most NFL games this season.
The best NFL streaming service package to watch the most games

A combination of Hulu + Live TV and Amazon Prime Video will get you access to every local, primetime, and international NFL game this season.
To watch the most NFL games all season long without cable you need a combination of services that provide all of the essential channels and platforms showing games this year, including CBS, Fox, NBC, ESPN, NFL Network, Prime Video, and ESPN+.
There are several different streaming service combinations you can sign up for to get all of these providers, but after doing the math we've concluded that the current cheapest way to get streaming access to every primetime, local, and international NFL game is to sign up for both Hulu + Live TV and Amazon Prime Video.
Hulu + Live TV gets you all the cable channels you need, along with a complementary ESPN+ membership. The service is also running a promotion through October 5 that lets new members save $60 on their first three months. If you snag the deal, your discounted period will cover most of the NFL regular season, which ends on January 8, 2023.
Meanwhile, a separate Prime Video membership is a must no matter what other services you choose, since Amazon has exclusive rights to Thursday Night Football. A full Prime membership costs $139 per year or $15 a month, and subscribing to just Prime Video on its own is $9 a month.
Though you can piece together similar coverage with other combinations using YouTube TV, Sling TV, Peacock, and Paramount Plus, when you take into account Hulu's current Live TV discount, this combo is the most comprehensive option for your money.
With these two subscriptions you get full access to the following NFL games:
- Local Sunday games on Fox via Hulu + Live TV
- Local Sunday games on CBS via Hulu + Live TV
- Sunday Night Football on NBC via Hulu + Live TV
- Monday Night Football on ESPN via Hulu + Live TV
- NFL Network games via Hulu + Live TV
- London game via ESPN+ included with Hulu + Live TV
- Thursday Night Football via Amazon Prime Video
Though this package will get you access to every nationally televised and local game, it's important to remember that these services will not stream out-of-market games. That said, there is a solution for that if you have the funds.
You can add out-of-market NFL games with an NFL Sunday Ticket subscription
If price isn't an issue, NFL Sunday Ticket provides access to every out-of-market game on Sundays during the NFL season, though the Fox and CBS games in your local market will be blacked out. This is a great option if you want to follow a team that's based in another part of the country.
As of September 26, Packages start at $277.96 for the rest of season; students are also eligible for a discount. The price for new members lowers as the season goes on to reflect the total number of games left to stream. If you combine Sunday Ticket with Hulu + Live TV and Prime Video, you should get streaming access to every NFL game throughout the 2022 season.
However, Sunday Ticket subscribers have encountered recurring issues streaming games during the first two weeks of the season, leading DirecTV to apologize to customers for service outages. With that in mind, potential members might want to wait to see if DirecTV works out these issues before signing up.
