The shooter who killed 3 people at a California garlic festival was described by a witness as a tall, thin man in camouflage, and police say he gained access to the event by cutting through a perimeter fence.
The gunman was shot dead by the police after he opened fire at the Gilroy Garlic Festival in the city of Gilroy, Northern California, on Sunday.
Jane Jacobucci, who was attending the festival as a vendor, said that the shooting happened "right in front of our booth," The Associated Press reported. She described the attacker as a tall, thin young man. She said he was wearing camouflage and had a big gun.
Jacobucci said that her husband, Edward, threw her to the ground as gunfire started.

According to the Gilroy Police Department, the shooter entered the festival by cutting through its perimeter fence in order to avoid security checks including metal detectors, The Associated Press reported.
Scot Smithee, Gilroy's police chief, said his officers are searching for a possible second suspect.
Police said on Sunday that at least 15 people were injured. Hospitals around Gilroy say that some victims are in critical condition, Reuters reported.
